EndeF completed the installation and commissioning of a hybrid solar system that supplies hot water individually to each apartment and electricity to the common areas, including a charging system for electric cars. It was part of the European LIFE projects “New Housing Solution 4OLD (LIFE10 ENV / ES / 439)”, technological innovation for the efficient use of energy resources and home renovation, promoted by the municipal association Zaragoza Vivienda.
In collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Madrid, EndeF designed, manufactured and installed the first prototype of a novel passive solar heating system. With this system, savings of up to 50% in heating demand are achieved for the main room of the house.
