This work presents the design and construction of one of the 4 pilot plants developed within the framework of the European LowUP project. The pilot plant is located in the Acciona Infraestructuras offices in Seville and can supply heating, electricity and domestic hot water. Includes 4 new systems to reduce emissions: photovoltaic solar panels with heat recovery kit with phase change material (PCM), a stratified accumulation tank optimized to work with different sources, underfloor heating at low temperature, unit of gray water heat recovery.
This communication emphasizes the development of photovoltaic panels with an adaptable heat recovery kit, from the prototyping phase to its installation, as well as its integration with the other systems. Preliminary results specify the ability to take advantage of the low-temperature heat absorbed by photovoltaic panels while protecting the photovoltaic laminate from high temperatures, improving its efficiency and extending its useful life thanks to PCM.
